Talk:Racine County ARES

From Megawiki

anyone want to add an area with a list of the next 3 or 4 upcoming meetings times & dates? That way we know ahead of time which months we're skipping. --Cathy KC9EOW 12:37, 11 April 2006 (CDT)

What it's about

This page is About the Racine County ARES. It isn't a place to copy and paste every bit of information even mildly related to the Racine County ARES, it is simply a page about the Racine County ARES.

Please put announcements on the BBS where they belong. An announcement is a piece of information that is fleeting in nature, not expected to be of use after a short period of time.

If you have a wonderful report you would like to share, please remember that an EC's report has nothing to do with the Racine County ARES. It is good information, but it doesn't belong here.

If you have information you want to display that shouldn't be edited, this may not be the most appropriate place. The wiki is really intended as a place to collaborate on documents and should be used as an exclusive publishing medium. More appropriate places exist, The W9UDU Webpage or the W9UDU BBS or even your own website.

Keep articles to the point. N9RGX 11:44, 13 April 2006 (CDT)

Should it be removed to it's own page? It is a bit relevant since this is what ARES does, but it's not that relevant to this page. 12:20, 13 April 2006 (CDT)
Some of the things should be removed to their own pages, yes. They could then have a link to them. The whole point is to keep the information from drowning the reader. N9RGX 13:03, 13 April 2006 (CDT)

Formatting

It is understandable that complete formatting may be difficult, but atelast try to keep paragraphs as paragraphs Try to avoid making the wiki look like you just lost your lunch all over the screen. To fix the formatting error took me 2 hours, please try to keep up on atleast some of the minor formatting. N9RGX 11:44, 13 April 2006 (CDT)-

--- did some editing. I suggest we put external bbs links here for stale info like alex said, and also external sites if applicable. jim
