Response & Activation
In the event of an emergency situation, one or more emergency management personnel may respond to the incident site and assist in the field command post. In large situations, an Emergency operations center (EOC) is opened to coordinate emergency response. Many agencies are represented in this center and officials like the County Executive, the Mayor, the Sheriff, the Police Chief, the Fire Chief, the Public Health Director and the Public Works Director would staff the EOC. The Racine County/City EOC is located in the basement of the Sheriff's Department Law Enforcement Center.
