Merging and Redirects

How do you "merge" ? --unsigned comment by WB9USI

Wiki is simple... sometimes overly so... to merge, simply copy (ctrl+c) the content in one article... then go to the other article and paste (ctrl+v) the content in... then clean up the newly merged article.

Once you have merged the articles, simply delete all content in the old article...

You may wish to put a redirect in to automatically move anyone who would stumble accross the old article into the new one.

Redirects are simple. On the old article, just put:

#redirect [[New article's name]]

And anyone who goes to the old page will automatically be bumped to the new one

I went to preferences and changed the view to chick. It doesn;t look right. I went to change it back and can no longer get the link to change it. The "hand" does not show up and I cannot get back to that section. How can I correct it? WB9USI 20:18, 28 May 2006 (CDT)
