You can purchase the manual from the ARRL, http://www.arrl.org/catalog or call 888-277-5289 or Amateur Electronic Supply in Milwaukee. Phone 800-558-0411 or use their web site: http://www.aesham.com. The local book stores may, also, carry it. You'll find that this book is truly a good investment, for its reference and operational material will continue to be useful to you long after you have acquired your ham radio license.

Please get this book ASAP, if you register for the workshop! The book is designed for self-study, and you will find it easy to use. Just start at the front and forge ahead! As the workshop Saturday approaches we will send you a syllabus to tell you what material will be covered in the workshop session. We cannot, however, cover all the material in adequate depth in just one day; therefore, your home study is a MUST!! I cannot emphasize this enough! Note also that there will be several experienced instructors (all volunteers) teaching different sections of the course and presenting many aspects of the fascinating hobby of ham radio.
